Interior Plaster Repairs
One of our specialties is restoring interior plaster. Repairs of all sizes and shapes can be fixed by AK Lacca Plaster Company. Whether your home was built in 1975 or 1875, we can fix your deteriorated plaster. Wood lath, rock lath, metal lath and plaster with horse hair, we have seen it all. At left, we see the beginning stages of a repair of plaster over metal mesh lath on a commercial ceiling renovation in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Due to water damage, a ceiling, unique wall texture and over twenty feet of an ornate step cornice were badly deteriorated and required extensive repairs.
After installing galvanized metal mesh lath and several applications of cement fortified structo-lite plaster, a lime finish was installed and smoothed to a finish. A template was then used to install the ornate step cornice, followed by applying the wall texture and finishing touches. In addition, a plaster wall relief was renovated and restored to its original splendor.
